Salt Rock Lamps are approved by the US FDA as an effective allergy treatment. Salt rock lamps work the same as an air purifier, killing bacteria and removing dust, allergens, smoke, odors, germs and mold spores from your immediate surroundings. They never get dirty or dusty. They help you breath and sleep better. Theyre also a beautiful addition to any room décor and function as a perfect nightlight creating a soothing, tranquil atmosphere. Our salt rocks are genuine Himalayan Salt Crystal, the most beneficial salt on this planet! It was formed over 250 million years ago when the formation of the Himalayas began. As the mighty Himalayas were rising, the primal ocean was dried up with the energy of the sun. Intense pressure over millions of years caused the salt to become crystallized. In nature, negative ions are created through forces of rain storms, waterfalls, lightening, sunlight, ocean waves and winds. In fresh country air, we find up to 4000 negative ions per cubic centimeter (the size of a sugar cube).Up to 10000 negative ions are found near heavy surf, or close to a waterfall. That is why we feel so refreshed, and energized, when we are near these environments. By contrast, the number of negative ions in metropolitan areas often does not even reach 100! Did you know that many of the pollutants found in the air reside on floating dust particles? In a test conducted by the US Department of Agriculture, they found 53% less dust, and 95% less bacteria, in the air by …

Suffer from allergies? Hate bad smells? Want an air purifier that isn’t noisy or bulky? Cleanaer works - there’s no doubt. Cleanaer devices remove unwanted particles like dust, pollen, smoke, cat allergens and dust mite allergens from an 80m3 room in under 5 minutes. They work continuously — 24/7 — and are smaller but 1000 times more powerful than a HEPA filter (Watt for Watt) and are as powerful as popular ionisers — but do not create any ozone. The unit’s Liquid-ions circulate on convection currents in the air to treat the whole room, not just a small area. www.cleanaer.com
Air pollution, at its essence, is the existence of outdoor and indoor airborne particles. These particles, some of them odiferous, include gases, biologicals, industrial by-products, combustion by-products, dust, dust mite droppings, vapors emitted by plastics, by cleaning chemicals, by pesticides and more. Outdoor air is often visibly polluted with heavy loads of these particles. Indoor air, where most of us breathe most of the time, is similarly burdened with particles, and thus, polluted. Despite lower incidence of tobacco smoke in most homes and buildings, there are increasing rates of asthma, allergies, respiratory diseases, dry coughs, air-borne infectious agents, and other afflictions that are impacted by unhealthy, particle-laden indoor air. Years ago, the solution to improving breathable indoor air quality was to open the windows for “fresh” air. Now we use HVAC systems that exchange more outside air for inside air, or try to improve indoor air filtering. These all have their place. However, when polluted indoor air is exchanged with polluted outdoor air about the only result achieved is wasted energy due to the additional energy consumption to heat or cool the incoming outside air. It needs to be understood that only 2% of the particulate in a cubic foot of indoor air is above 1 or 2 Microns in size. The remaining 98% is made up of sub-micron particles which remain in the room because they are too small to be affected or moved by normal indoor airflow. This …

allergies are abnormal immune responses to allergens like pollen grains, dust, moulds and foodstuffs. The allergens can enter the body through inhalation, ingestion, injection, or external skin contact. Allergens cause abnormal production of immunoglobulin E (IgE), an antibody already present in the body in small amounts. When the antigen makes contact with some part of the body, it is taken up, processed by Antigen Presenting Cell (APC) and presented on a Class II MHC to Helper cells. In the early stages of allergy, a type I hypersensitivity reaction against an allergen, encountered for the first time, causes a response in the T helper cells. These T helper cells produce cytokines which stimulate B-cells to produce large amount of IgE by proliferating IgE producing plasma cells. Secreted IgE circulates in the blood and binds to an IgE-specific receptor on the surface of mast cells and basophils, which are both involved in the acute inflammatory response. The IgE-coated cells, at this stage are sensitized to the allergen. During second exposure, antigen binds to the IgE antibodies on the mast cells. Activated mast cells and basophils undergo degranulation to release histamine and other inflammatory chemical mediators (cytokines, interleukins, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins) from their granules into the surrounding tissue causing several systemic effects, such as Nasal Stuffyness, Sneezing, Runny nose, Watery eyes and mucous discharge. This animation delineates the …
Studies have shown that the dust mite lives in areas in our home that are moist and warm. Forty thousand dust mites account for one ounce of mattress dust. They descend on our bedding because when we sleep our bodies shed skin, this skin is nourishment to the dust mite. Dust Mites are not necessarily harmful, unless you are allergic to them. Symptoms for allergic reaction would be runny nose, itchy eyes, asthma, or a rash. If you are allergic to dust mites then you should follow these steps. Step 1: Survey your home and interior and note areas where dust mites hide, bedding, cloth sofa, drapes, carpets. Determine if your budget will permit you to replace these soft surface items to hard surface items such as wood blinds, leather sofa, and wood or tile floors. Prioritize the rooms in your home by the time that you spend in each room, the bedroom would be the first room that would have a makeover, TV room second, kitchen, dining room and such would follow on the list. Step 2: Cover the mattress, box springs and pillows with allergen protective covers. These protective covers prevent the dust mite from penetrating and hiding in your bedding. Wash bed linens and comforter once a week to remove dust mites from fabric. Step 3: Depending on the severity of your dust mite allergies you may want to cover your floors with a thin textured fiber carpet and invest in a Hepa filter vacuum that removes mold, pet dander and dust mite allergens. All fiber floor coverings will need to be …
